LIVING THE GOOD LIFE IN THE SUN

I am finally getting into my new blog after nearly a month on the road. A sign of being too busy enjoying  life. But it is a good way to keep in touch with many. So I hope you forgive me putting you on a list of recipients - to read or not to read as you wish.
After a glorious week in Calgary, we left Feb 12 only to run into snowstorms in Idaho which made driving a bit risky for Ted. We keep up about 100kph o the road so took 4 days to get sout to the good wether By Provo in Utah it was pretty nice already. However, a few miles out and about 500k north of Las Vegas an engine warning light came on.
So into Vegas, stay at a Laquita hotel instead of de-winterized the RV nod check out Springer MB fixers. Next day - and US$1400 later - three engine sensors are fixed and the engine is now purring along nicely.
We knew Don & Kathy ere on the road too And they stay at La Quintas because they have a dog. And they should be in Vegas by now. Returning to the hotel, we ask if our friends the Druerys have checked in, and, surprise -  they checked in h all an hour ago! What are the chances?
After the expensive trip to the European car mechanic I convince Ted we might as well the big Premier outlet ma on the north side of Vegas. I do some retail therapy, Ted still has a Lon face as he doesn't find any bargains!
But we have a lovely dinner with D&K across the road from our hotel in a great gastro pub, and our free (not bad) breakfast at the hotel enforce we set off on our different ways, they to the California coast to meet his sister Joy and us to the living desert at Palm Springs.
We decide not to camp yet, no point as we are heading to Dorothy 7 zjohn's lovely condo apt in LaQuinta, a lovely suburb of Palm Springs.
